Ever notice how, when someone comes in and
asks us for a good pizza wine (which happens
a lot), we head straight for the Italian
section? There’s a reason for that. Those
wines often make awesome food wines and go
especially well with things like, well, pizza!
Which brings us to this Friday, March 30th.
We are thrilled to present a Tasting Event
featuring 7 wonderful Italian wines. You
can partake of them for just $10, anytime
between 4 and 10 pm.
And since we don’t want you to go hungry,
we’ve invited the fine gentleman behind
Red Oven Pizza to join the party! This
is the famous mobile pizza oven that’s
been feeding people delicious pizzas
and calzones all over the county. His
food is not included in the wine tasting
price, but his prices are very reasonable, in
the $10-$12 range. He’ll cook from about 5-8.
These are the wines we’re pouring:
Argiolas Costamolino Vermentino 2009, $13.97
Poliziano Rosso di Montepulciano 2008, $9.97
Banfi Centine Toscana 2009, $9.97
Annunziata Barbera d’Alba 2008, $15.97
Pacina Chianti Colli Senesi 2007, $23.97
Secco-Bertani Valpolicella Ripasso 2008, $16.97
Sella & Mosca Tanca Farra Alghero 2004, $25.97
This is gonna be awesome! Freshly made
pizza and calzones, plus a wine tasting.
What a great way to experience Italy
(but without a passport and a fifteen-hour
flight!)
