Friday, November 9th, promises to be a
very, very, very good time here at North
County Wine Company.
Our tasting event for this evening will
run during the usual time frame of 4-10.
Cost is $15.
The wines this time around have been chosen
by our guest bartender/ringleader/instigator
Craig Beukelman. If you’ve met Craig, then
you know how fun this is gonna be.
If you haven’t, now’s your chance!
Craig is a blast. A kick in the pants.
A laugh a minute. A raconteur, bon vivant,
and good-timin’ man.
Here are the wines he has chosen:
Carra Prosecco, $11.97
-because he felt like starting with bubbles
J Vineyards Chardonnay 2009, $18.97
-to have a kick-ass Chard in the mix (90 TB)
Sika Cabernet Franc 2007, $19.97
-because he freakin’ loves it (88 TB)
Oakville Winery Zinfandel 2010, $21.97
-he insists on a Zin, and this one’s damn good (89 BT)
Shafer Merlot 2008, $43.97
-he’s a huge Shafer fan, and rightfully so (93 WE)
Goldschmidt Game Ranch Cabernet 2008, $59.97
-look at him spending our money on wines like this! (93 BT)
Taylor Fladgate 10-year Tawny Port, $26.97
-closing it out right, with a serious Tawny (93 RP)
There you have it. Pretty darn good wines.
And they’ll taste even better in Craig’s company.
When we mentioned above this will be a very,
very, very good time… we may have left out
a few “verys.”
