Godzilla vs. Mothra.
Ali vs. Frazier.
Yankees vs. Red Sox.
These epic battles are NOTHING
compared to what you will witness
this Friday evening, July 19th…
THE BRO-DOWN!!!
That’s right, the Bro-Down returns!
Jim vs. Bill, brother vs. brother, as
we fight, well, not to the death, but
certainly to the utter humiliation, to
prove which one of us picks better wines.
We will pick 1 wine each in the
categories of white, import, blend,
and Cabernet, but we won’t tell you
who picked what.
You will taste all eight wines, in
“heats” of two wines per category,
choosing your favorite in each heat.
You will then select your favorite
wine of the entire tasting.
We will tabulate the ballots and
crown the new King of Wine!!
(ps, last year the younger brother won,
and while he is eager to repeat, the
older one is vowing revenge at any cost!)
This blood feud will take place between
4 and 10 pm and cost $20, which will
include hors d’oeuvres.
These are the wines:
Laetitia Brut Cuvee, $15.97
-88 points Tobin Bros.
Quinta da Aveleda Vinho Verde 2012, $8.97
-92 points Wine & Spirits
Alto Moncayo Veraton 2010, $23.97
-92 points Jim Tobin
Dead Letter Office Shiraz 2008, $19.97
-91 points Wine Enthusiast
Jonata Todos 2008, $44.97
-92 points Bill Tobin
Orin Swift The Prisoner 2011, $31.97
-92 points Wine Spectator
Silver Oak Cabernet 2008, $59.97
-94 points Wine & Spirits
Inglenook (Rubicon) Cask Cabernet 2009, $59.97
94 points Bill Tobin
That right there is a spectacular
tasting, any way you slice it.
Throw in the epic battle on top
of it all, and you have yourself
one incredible evening!
