WINE OF THE WEEK:

In honor of this, the last week of Summer,
your designated WOW is a flat-out yummy
Chardonnay from Sabastiani. It’s their 2011
Sonoma Chard, just $11.97.

They think it’s the most elegant Chard
they’ve produced from the Sonoma
appellation, and we agree. This winery
fell on tough times a few years back,
but now it’s making seriously positive
strides… and seriously good wines!

This beauty features citrus, green apple, vanilla
and caramel in the nose with a dollop of roasty/toasty
oak on the palate. It is a balanced and refreshing
wine that pairs beautifully with food.
