WINE OF THE WEEK:
We are stoked, once again, to offer you
a heckuva WOW!
Evodia Old Vine Garnacha 2011, from Spain.
90 points Stephen Tanzer:
“Aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, smoky
minerals and white pepper, with a suggestion of
candied rose. Supple on entry, then firmer in the
mid-palate, with vibrant flavors of black and blue
fruits and floral pastilles. Finishes with powerful
blue fruit and spice notes and very good length.”
Just $7.97/bottle, or $95.64/case!
CHAMPAGNE/BUBBLY FLIGHT THIS WINESDAY!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I just typed that without a glass
of Bubbly nearby, and it felt kind
of weird.
Why? Because Bubbly goes with the
holidays like ribbons go with bows,
like Santa goes with reindeer, like
jingle goes with bells.
Come taste what we’re talking about
this Wednesday, December 11th. Any
time from 5-9 pm we’re offering up
three flutes for just ten bucks,
which is an absolute ridiculous steal
of a deal!
Here are the stars of the show:
Manciat Cremant de Bourgogne Brut, $15.97
-“offers up notes of orange blossoms, tangerine
oil and lemon rind. Fresh, lively, medium-bodied,
penetrating and long, this is a sensational value.”
Raventos de Nit Brut Rose, $19.97
-Complex, fresh, and elegant, offering
deliciously crisp red berry and white
fruit flavors, with a touch of brioche.
Taittinger La Francaise Brut Champagne, $39.97
-“the rich and complex flavors show just that
extra touch of maturity. The wine has peach and
almond flavors that contrast well with the taut,
nervy edge. It’s full in the mouth and ripe, and
works well both as an aperitif and a food Champagne.”
A flute of each of those for just ten bucks
is completely insane.
(but please don’t tell the asylum where
to find us. the wine list in that place
is terrible!)
SPECTACULAR TASTING THIS FRIDAY!!!
