WINE OF THE WEEK:

In 1971 Charlie Wagner and his wife Lorna
Belle Glos Wagner asked their son Chuck,
who had just graduated from high school,
if he would be interested in joining them
in starting up a winery.

If Chuck declined the offer, Charlie and Lorna
were planning to sell out of their ranch in Napa
Valley and move to Australia. Chuck accepted his
parents’ offer to launch the winery, Caymus Vineyards.

Thank God!

Their first Napa Cabernet vintage was 1972.
40 years, huge acclaim, and endless accolades
later, they have released their 40th Anniversary
edition of that famous Cab, the 2012 vintage.

And we have it here for the low, low, crazy low
price of $49.97!!!

Yes, you read that right. $49.97.

That’s ten bucks less than you’ll find online,
and at least five bucks less than any other
wine shop around.

Starting Sunday 6/8/14, this wine will go
back to its regular price of $54.97)

Best part? It is, in typical Caymus fashion,
absolutely fantastic.

The 2012 vintage was a fine one, and it shows
with this bottle. It’s deep, dark, rich, concentrated,
and a sheer joy to drink.

As is also typical with Caymus, it drinks well
when it’s young, but it can also be aged for
10-15 years if stored properly.

We’ve got a stack of it waiting for you,
so come and get it!
