WINE OF THE WEEK:
As I write this newsletter I am sitting
with my wife on a warm Monday evening
in early August, enjoying our back yard.
The beverage beside me? A cool, crisp,
delicous white wine.
Now, you red lovers (and you know who
you are) will undoubtedly scoff.
“Jim’s gone soft,” I can hear you
harrumphing. “What a little baby.
Everyone knows REAL wine lovers
only drink red.”
Well, friend, I assure you I am a real,
true, genuine, wine lover.
And I drink white quite a bit, especially
this time of year!
There’s one in particular that recently
snared our attention – the 2013 Pacific
Rim Chenin Blanc, 90 points Wine
Enthusiast:
“Sourced from vines planted 45 years ago,
this ripe and floral wine offers classically
varietal scents of flowers, while flavors recall
pear and peach. The length and detail are excellent.”
Agreed. This wine is one of the most picture-
perfect patio sippers we’ve tried in a while.
Just $11.97 at NCWC, and available to taste!
