Howdy and Cheers! Settle back, fasten
your seat belts, and let’s go for a fun,
factual Wine Club ride!

First of all, your STOCK UP DAYS are
Saturday and Sunday, 9/6 and 9/7.
This is when you get 10% off everything
in the shop, so take advantage of us!

Your Wine Club wines are here and
ready for you. If you’d like to taste all
four, the Pick-up Party is WEDNESDAY,
September 3rd, any time from 5-9. Come taste
the club wines for free, and mingle with
fellow members.

Our monthly WINNER is Frankie Seelenbinder.
Frankie, feel free to select any past or
present Silver level wine.

Now for the wines, starting with the Silvers.

First up is the 2012 Jim Barry “Cover Drive”
Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra,
Australia:

“Firm, upright and convincing, with juicy black
fruit at the core and spicy, earthy notes adding
interest to the finish. Has presence.”

The second silver is the 2012 Maipe Malbec
from Mendoza, Argentina. 91 points Wine
Advocate:

“Aged 12 months in French oak, it possesses a
soft style with minerality as well as lots of blackberry,
white chocolate, incense and graphite characteristics.
Rich and full-bodied, it is a full-throttle, stunning Malbec.”

Now to the Gold Level. First is the 2011
Emeritus Pinot Noir from Russian River
Valley. 93 points Wine Spectator:

“Impressive, offering richness, vibrancy and
subtle charm, marked by snappy blackberry,
red berry, spice, sage and underbrush notes.
Ends with a minerally edge that holds the flavors.”

Finally, we offer the 2011 Girard Artistry from
Napa Valley:

“Notes of black cherry pie, anise, and chocolate
covered espresso beans. Toasty nutmeg and clove
balance a lush palate of plum, cherry, and black
currant compote. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18%
Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 9% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot.”
