WINE OF THE WEEK:

Last week we highlighted the 2013 Casa de Campo
Chardonnay, which proved to be immediately popular!

This week we call attention to that one’s brother (sister?),
the 2013 Malbec from the same winery in Argentina.

It shows aromas and flavors of plum, raspberry and sweet
spices with a touch of black pepper. It also offers good structure
and balance, with ripe tannins and a nice, long finish.

The Malbec, like the Chard, is just 6.97/bottle.
We think you’ll be impressed!

A VERY SPECIAL WINESDAY!

This Wednesday, 8/5, we celebrate the birthday of
the newest member of the NCWC team, Cathryn
Vanettes!

Cat has been a wonderful addition here, and we are
super stoked to be working with her. She chose the
wines for this Winesday flight, and they are excellent.

It’s just fifteen bucks for a half glass each of these:

Reverdy Sancerre 2014, 22.97
Sans Liege Groundwork 2012, 17.97
Conterno Il Favot Nebbiolo 2006, 49.97

Come enjoy these wines – as well as Cat’s sparkling

Then, next WEDNESDAY, 8/12, it is our great honor
and privilege to welcome an amazing winemaker,
the one and only Nick Goldschmidt.

Nick is both brilliant and funny. Originally from New
Zealand, he makes wine all over the world, including
several in California.

We have been big supporters of Nick and his wines
for one reason – they’re really good!

So once again you want to carve some space into
your midweek schedule. Nick will be here from
5:30-8:30, and we’ll be pouring several of his wines.
