WINE OF THE WEEK:

Your WOW this week is the 2014 Tangent Albarino
from Edna Valley. Here’s the scoop:

Made in the traditional style of Rias Baixas Albarino,
this wine is pure and vibrant, with a subtle salty
minerality. Mandarin orange and tangerine begin in
the aromatics and run clear through to the finish.
The round mouthfeel is beautifully balanced by crisp
acidity. The refreshing quality of this wine makes it an
excellent aperitif, and it pairs well with most seafoods.

As for your BOW (Beer of the Week), how about the
Victory Brewing Golden Monkey. Here’s the brewer’s note:

“Strong and sensual, this golden Belgian-style ale
glows with goodness. The richness of imported malts
and Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling approach
and overall light body. Considerable depth of character
with abundant, herbal, fruity notes make this one to savor.”

Seriously tasty stuff! Regular 12.97 a six pack (plus crv),
