WINE OF THE WEEK:
We all know what K.I.S.S. stands for – Keep it simple, stupid. And that’s what
we’re doing with this week’s WOW. Simple, sensible, done.
The 2015 Carmenet Cabernet is a value Cali Cab that is very popular here,
a solid everyday wine at a regular price of only 7.97/bottle. Lots of folks buy
this one by the case.
But for this week, through Sunday the 6th of May, we have it on special for just 6.97.
What’s it like? Imagine ripe, dark berries with hints of cocoa, spice, and vanilla.
It’s smooth and sippable, comfortable with food, and pretty much too good a deal
to pass up.
As usual, we’ll crack a bottle for you to try. Come on in! 🙂
WINESDAY EVENT:
We have two dynamite $15 flights this week. We’ll tell you about the one for this
weekend in a couple days.
As for this Wednesday, that price gets you a taste of these 5 delicious wines:
Aia Vecchia Lagone 2015, delightful Tuscan blend.
San Simeon Petite Sirah 2013, 93 points Wine Enthusiast.
Isole e Olena Chianti Classico 2015, 92 points Wine Advocate.
Sparkman Holler Cabernet 2015, a “phantasmagoria” of flavors.
Keenan Inspirado 2013, freakin’ incredible Napa Cab blend.
Available any ol’ time from 5-9. Join us for this one!
SCHOOL OF WINE RETURNS!
Last year we offered a couple Wine Classes, both taught by our good friend
Cathryn Vanettes. They turned out to be so popular that we are bringing
them back!
The first one will take place on Saturday, 5/12, from 2:00-3:30. Cost is $40
at the door, or just $30 in advance.
The topic will be “How to Taste Wine Like a Pro.” The instruction, of course,
will include wine tasting!
We have to limit attendance to 12 people, so we encourage you to sign up
quickly. Last year’s classes sold out in a hurry.
Give us a call at 760-653-9032 to reserve your spot, or stop by to take
care of it in person. This may be the most enjoyable class you’ve ever taken!
