WINES OF THE WEEK!

The summer season is upon us, and we all need good barbecue wines!

We – of course, obviously, duh – are here to help. We have a shopful of
amazing wines, and this week we’re highlighting three WOW’s that are
guaranteed to pair awesomely with your summer barbecues and parties.

First is the 2016 Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel, 91 points Wine Spectator:
“Lively and supple, with floral raspberry and fresh pepper aromas and sleekly
appealing cherry and licorice flavors that glide lightly along the finish.”
This beauty is 14.99 on a popular online site, but through May 27th it’s just
12.97/bottle here at NCWC.

Next is the 2016 vintage of that ever-popular blend called The Prisoner, with
enticing aromas of cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. Persistent
flavors of ripe raspberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, and vanilla linger
harmoniously, for a smooth and luscious finish. This bottle goes for 41.99
on the same online site, but through May 27th here it’s just 29.97/bottle!

We can’t forget white wines, especially as the weather turns warmer!
The 2016 Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc-Viognier is beautifully aromatic and
flavorful, with fruity and floral notes that make it a smashing partner with
any number of spicy foods, as well as an exceptional aperitif. Online we
see it at 12.99, but here it’s just 10.97/bottle.

WINESDAY FLIGHT:

Well, gee whiz. Seeing as how we have three WOW’s, why don’t we just
build a nice midweek flight out of them?
