WINES OF THE WEEK:

We’re heading into the “dog days” of summer, when things get pretty hot and
sticky around these parts. Which means it’s a pretty good idea to keep some
cool refreshers handy, like this week’s two WOW’s.

The New Age White and Red from Argentina definitely hit the mark. Both are
lighter in style but big in flavor, with lower alcohol levels, slight effervescence,
some sweetness, and delicious fruitiness that make them super easy to sip.

Both are exceptional when paired with spicy foods, e.g. Thai, Szechuan, Indian, etc.

The white, 90% Torrontes and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, offers vivacious floral and
fruit notes, but with the acidity to maintain balance and refreshment.

The red, 70% Bonarda and 30% Malbec, evokes just-picked cherries and
raspberries, with additional floral notes adding complexity.

These were already a value at 8.97/bottle. But through the last day of July
both these fun wines are just 6.97/bottle. Come and get ’em!
