WINERY EVENT!
We’ve got some fantastic wines for you to try this Friday and Saturday, and they’re all
from the same winery!
It’s Soquel Vineyards, a little slice of heaven in the Santa Cruz Mountains that has been
making fine wine since 1987. This is a boutique producer you may not have heard of,
but boy are these wines tasty! It’s gonna be just $15 to taste through these:
Soquel Partners’ Reserve Chardonnay 2017
Soquel Pinot Noir 2016
Soquel Trinity Rosso 2016
Soquel Cabernet Partners’ Reserve 2012
Soquel Petite Sirah Partners’ Reserve 2016
A great opportunity to discover – and taste – some delicious wines. Don’t miss it!
(Available both Friday and Saturday, any time from 4-9:30)
WINE OF THE WEEK:
We just tasted a Cabernet Sauvignon that immediately made us think,
“People are gonna love this!”
It’s the 2016 Bread & Butter Cabernet, brand new to the shop and just 13.97
per bottle. Like the winery’s Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which we’ve carried
for quite a while, it is super friendly and approachable.
It expresses captivating aromas of mocha, ripe berries, violets, and blackcurrant with intertwining layers of subtle black pepper, toasted oak and rich vanilla. Lively and complex, it enters the palate with layers of ripe blackberry and chocolate covered cherries. The round and luscious mouthfeel is accented by soft tannins and a hint of spice that weaves into a smooth, lingering finish.
If you like your reds smooth, ripe, and oaky, this one might be for you! Available
to try in the bar this week.
