One of our most popular WOW’s ever is back in the house!

We’re always looking for great deals. And with certain wines we only bring them in
when the price is hot.

One of those is the Bogle Essential Red. You typically see this wine around
ten bucks or so, which is all well and good, but we’re not looking for good.

We have a smokin’ price on the 2015 Esential Red, just 6.97/bottle. Or 83.64/case.

A VISIT FROM THE 2018 WINERY OF THE YEAR!

Wine Enthusiast – one of the most respected wine periodicals in the world – has
named the Riboli Family’s San Antonio Winery as the 2018 Winery of the Year!

Why this enormous honor? The family has been making wine for 101 years and
has consistently embodied qualities like value, sustainability, and flexibility, enabling
them to grow and remain relevant to the present day.

OUR honor, then, is to host Lisa Riboli this Friday evening, November 9th, along
with our sales rep, Cat Vanettes, as we pour through six of the family’s wines.

The wines will be available any time from 4-9:30, and Lisa will arrive about 5:30.
Cost for the tasting is just $15, and the wines are superb. Here’s a look:

San Simeon Chardonnay
Maddalena Cabernet
Santo Stefano Cabernet
San Simeon Petite Sirah
San Simeon Stormwatch
Riboli Family Napa Cabernet

BIG EVENTS COMING!

First of all, let’s talk about today, Tuesday, Election Day. If you’re like us, you are
definitely ready for the political ads to go away. We suggest you join us in the bar
this evening and toast both our democracy… AND the fact that we can enjoy a bit of a
break before the next election! Happy Hour is 4-7, and we’re open until 9 pm.

Also, a word about two exciting “Comparative Tastings” coming up this month!

Next Wednesday, 11/14, hop into the bar for a super cool, wine geeky comparison
of 4 different Garnachas. These are all made by the same producer, from the same
appellation, and the same vintage. The difference is that the 4 come from 4 different
soil types – clay, sand, limestone, and slate. It is so fascinating to taste the nuances,
and an opportunity like this is a fantastic way to see for yourself how important
the concept of terroir is! Tasting available any time from 5-9. Cost is just $10.

THEN… on Wednesday 11/28 we offer a spectacular opportunity to do a very
similar type of comparison. This is “The Debate” Tasting Event, and this
promises to be amazing.

“The Debate” is a 3-bottle box set of exclusive, expensive, extremely high quality
Cabernets from Napa Valley. Once again, same grape and vintage, same region,
same winemaker (the amazing Jean Hoefliger).

The difference again is place, with the fruit all coming from world-famous grower
Andy Beckstoffer and three of his renowned vineyards – To Kalon, Missouri Hopper,
and Dr. Crane. These are world class wines, and this is a special opportunity.

The vintage we’ll be tasting is the 2014, and the cost for the event is $50.
Cost for the 3-bottle set is $550, and if you purchase one of those the tasting
fee will be waived..

Again, the date is Wednesday the 28th, and we will start at 6 pm. This event is
so special that we are actually closing the bar to everyone except those who
come for this experience.
