WINE OF THE WEEK:

This week’s WOW is a beauty from Spain, the 2016 Tarima Monastrell from
the Alicante region.

Monastrell is more commonly known elsewhere as Mourvedre. But whatever you
call it, this bottling is simply delicious, and an incredible value at 7.97. Here’s the
92 point evaluation from James Suckling:

“Great black fruit that is fully ripe without a hint of over-ripeness. This is a big, rich wine. Rather fine and generous tannins help it carry the alcohol, and it is almost silky at the long finish.”

Once again, this 92 point red is just 7.97. A steal of a deal for sure!
