WINE DINNER RETURNS!

In late April we hosted a pop-up wine pairing dinner with chef Erin Seely.
It was a huge hit, and we’re confident our next one will be just as amazing.

The date is Saturday, June 22, and the dinner begins at 6 pm. It will be a five
course meal expertly prepared by Chef Erin, and each course is paired with
a wine from Joe Wagner’s Copper Cane portfolio.

The charming and extremely knowledgeable Bruce Rock will be on hand to
present and discuss the wines, and Chef Erin will cap the evening with one
of her creative and delicious desserts.

Space for this event is very limited, so we encourage you to sign up quickly.

FRIDAY NIGHT TOP FLIGHT!

In the spirit of our competitive weekend coming up (the Amateur Somm Contest
is Saturday – see below for info on that), we’ve put together a little Cabernet Competition for our Friday Top Flight!

We’re asking just $15 for a flight consisting of these three Napa Cabs from
different vintages:

Soquel Vineyards Partners’ Reserve Cabernet 2012, 29.97.
Cobblestone Atlas Peak Cabernet 2013, 24.97.
Aperture Cabernet 2016, 39.97.

Not only are these very well made Cabs, this provides an excellent opportunity
to compare Napa Cabs from different producers and different years.

See you Friday! (of course, this flight will also be available on Saturday for those
who don’t wish to dive into the Somm Contest)

AMATEUR SOMM CONTEST!

If you love wine AND have a competitive streak, this event is definitely for you!

It’s our Amateur Somm Competition, which takes place Saturday, June 8th.
It’s gonna be an absolute blast, and it works like this:

Everyone who wants to participate gets to blind taste 3 wines, attempting to
describe and identify them.

You also get to take a written quiz on wine knowledge.

Neither part of the exam will be super difficult, but we won’t make it too easy!
We will track everyone’s score, and the winner gets a $50 gift card, as well as
huge bragging rights!

This Somm Competition is open to all comers any time from 12-8 on Saturday
the 8th. Price is $15, and that includes a “postgame” glass of wine as a reward.

This will be SO FUN! We can’t wait!
