WINE OF THE WEEK:
It’s gonna be a hot week, which means I will be opening some crisp, refreshing whites like this week’s WOW.
The Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand has been a perennial favorite here for many years, and the 2018 is no exception. It scored an outstanding 90 points
from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and we concur.
The wine seems to capture the sunny, tropical-fruited side of Marlborough in its hints of mango and gooseberries, then balances that with just a bit of characteristic varietal leafiness and a taught spine of acidity. It’s medium-bodied and well-textured, with good length and broad-based appeal.
Crisp, refreshing, and tasty indeed! And we have this delicious wine for you at just 14.97/btl. Cheers!
POINTS OF INTEREST:
We have a GREAT tasting event lined up for you this coming Friday and Saturday,
and we’ll tell you all about it in a couple days.
ALSO… one of our customers, Drew Gosselin, will be running the Boston Marathon next year in support of the Semper Fi Fund, an amazing non-profit that assists wounded, critically ill and injured service members.
To help Drew in his fund-raising efforts, we are hosting a tasting event here on Saturday, November 2nd, from 5-8. Cost is $25 for wine tasting and snacks, and all proceeds go towards helping him meet his $10,000 fundraising goal.
Mark it down! Come meet Drew on November 2nd, hear his story, and support this
very worthy cause.
