MEMORIAL WEEKEND SIPPER:With this weekend marking the unofficial start of summer, it makes sense to have some cool, light, refreshing wines on hand. We have a bunch of those, of course.  But now we’re highlighting this one, the 2019 Fantini Rose’ from Italy. This is weekend perfection.  Or, to be more accurate, all summer long perfection! Made from the Montepulciano grape, it’s fresh, fragrant, and deliciously packed with strawberry and raspberry notes. While great with soft cheeses, poultry and fish, it also makes a perfect (there’s that word again) “patio pounder.”   This fun, tasty Rose’ is just 7.97 here at NCWC.   WINE OF THE WEEK:We DO NOT want you to run out of affordable wine options. So here’s another one for you:  The California Landscape “Woodlands” red blend. Honestly, when we tasted this wine we – knowing its price – expected not to like it. But we did!  The wine is well structured with fine acid-tannin balance.  It offers ripe red and black berry flavors.  It’s smooth.  And with a moderate alcohol level, it’s quite food friendly. And this bottle, right here at NCWC, is just 6.97.   Cruise by or call 760-653-9032 (for pickup or delivery). If you try one, we think you’ll be back for more!   CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES!Since we are easing our way back to something that at least resembles normal social life, we’d like to update you on our Wine Bar. We are aiming for a June re-open, and we will give you the exact date soon. Of course, things will be a bit different.  To start it will be patio only, with appropriate distancing, and an occupancy limit. Days and hours will have limitations as well. Our aim is to provide you with the wine bar you know and love, while ensuring your safety as well as that of our staff. More info coming soon.  Thank you for your patience, stay safe, and cheers!!  🙂
