We’re excited about your Club Wines for March, and we’ll describe them for you in a sec. Here are a few details first:
The monthly free bottle winner is Kelsey Webster. Congrats!
Your STOCK-UP DAYS for March are Saturday and Sunday, the 20th and 21st. The 20th happens to be the first day of spring, which sounds like a good excuse to stock up!
Here’s a look at the Silver Level wines, both from Cline Family Cellars, based in Sonoma. First is the 2019 Cline Pinot Noir.
Following aromas of nutmeg and plum, the entry of raspberry and earth on the palate leads to notes of cherry, cinnamon and vanilla.
Next, the 2018 Cline Cabernet offers luscious notes of blackberry, chocolate and oak, augmented by hints of licorice and spice.
Now for Gold. The 2018 Caymus-Suisun Grand Durif is a mouthful in more ways that one! This is from the Caymus operation in Suisun County, right next to Napa. Durif is another name for Petite Sirah.
The wine makes an immediate impact with bold flavors of dark fruits and integrated oak, together with beautifully supple texture.
Finally, we offer the 2018 J. Lohr “Pure Paso” Proprietary Red from – guess where? – Paso Robles. This blend is primarily Cabernet and Petite Sirah.
This delivers a rich, bright perfume of boysenberry preserves, cashew, and milk chocolate. Licorice, leather, and slate are indulgent flavors that add to the round body, with a distinctly satiny mouthfeel that’s balanced by the sleekness of black tea tannins.
THANK YOU for your ongoing support! We wish you all the best this month!!
