We have some great juice for you this month, and we think you’re gonna love ’em! First, though, let’s take care of a few details.
The monthly free bottle winner is Kjerstie Bourne. Congrats!
Your STOCK-UP DAYS for April are Saturday and Sunday, the 17th and 18th. Take advantage of that discount!
Last but definitely not least… your Club Wine Tasting opportunity is back! We will have all 4 wines open Tues-Thurs, 4/6 through 4/8. Pick a day, and come give ’em a try!
Now for the Club wines, Silver first. The 2018 Katherine Goldschmidt Cabernet is from Alexander Valley, and it received 92 points from James Suckling:
“Fresh and polished, with currant, plum and light herb undertones. It’s medium-bodied with integrated tannins and a pretty finish.”
Then we jump to Spain’s Montsant region for the 2017 Mas Donis, 91 points Wine Spectator:
“A blend of 50% Garnacha, 30% Carinena and 20% Syrah, this is generous and round with a pretty floral nose and a juicy texture.”
As for the Gold level, we begin with the 2016 Thacher “Constant Variable,” a Central Coast blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Counoise. 93 points Wine Enthusiast:
“Polished aromas of black raspberry, black plum, dried herbs and hints of game. There’s a strong peppery spice to the palate as well as a savory tone and hints of tar, but also solid black fruit flavors, all wrapped in leathery tannins.”
We close with the 2019 Phinch Pinot Noir from Edna Valley, 94 points Wine Enthusiast:
“This very small production Pinot begins with aromas of cranberry, pomegranate and raspberry jam, with herbal touches of tarragon and pine. There’s a wild sense to the palate, where black plum, rose petal and minty flavors play with accents of tea and herbs.”
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support. Cheers, and Happy Easter!
