It’s a great job we have here, tasting wines,
evaluating them, and bringing in the very best.
Definitely better than some other jobs we
could think of.
Like inspecting underwear before it gets
packaged for sale. What a thrill that must be.
Can you imagine someone asking you what
you do for a living? “I’m a skivvy specialist.”
“A panty patron.” “A boxer battler.”
But I digress. While we are not slaves to any
wine critic or periodical, it is kind of cool when
wines we have selected end up getting good
press and high scores. Who knew a couple
cork dorks like us might actually get something
right once in a while?
Which brings us to this Friday’s Tasting Event,
which will feature 7 wines that have all received
scores of 90 points or better. For $10 you’ll
get snacks plus tastes of these high scorers:
Brokenwood Semillon 2010, $17.97
-94 points James Halliday
Domaine Chandon Pinot Noir 2007, $19.97
-90 points Wine Spectator
Leasingham Bin 61 Shiraz 2005, $9.97
-91 points Wine Spectator
Zuccardi Serie A Bonarda 2009, $12.97
-90 points Wine Enthusiast
Emilio Moro Ribera del Duero 2007, $21.97
-92 points Wine Advocate
Koyle Royale Cabernet 2007, $18.97
-92 points Wine Enthusiast
Hidden Ridge Cabernet 2006, $34.97
-93 points Anthony Dias Blue
We’d love for you to join us. Watch out, though.
Enjoying these wines might lead to a different
kind of underwear inspection. Just sayin’.
