Okay, so Bill and I were talking about New Year’s
Resolutions, and we both resolved in 2012 to
drink less wine, make fewer friends, and have less fun.
If you believe that, you don’t know us very well!
Our aim is the exact opposite, actually, and we’re
starting this very Friday, Jan. 6th, with a ten
buck tasting running anytime from 4-10 pm. We of
course will throw in some tasty appetizers to go
with these lovely Pinots:
Rilento Pinot Grigio 2009, $10.97
-88 points Tobins, a terrific new PG
Poppy Pinot Noir Monterey 2009, $12.97
Manzoni Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands ’08, $15.97
Pali Huntington Pinot Noir Santa Barbara ’09, $17.97
-89 points Jim
Lincourt Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills ’08, $19.97
-89 points Jim
Arger-Martucci Pinot Noir Carneros ’05, $24.97
-91 points Jim
Bryn Mawr Reserve Pinot Noir Willamette Valley ’07, $29.97
-90 points Bill
So you’ll start with one of the best values
in Pinot Grigio we’ve come across, then taste
6 delicious Pinots from 6 different regions.
What a great way to compare and enjoy the
marvelously magical mystery that is Pinot Noir!
(rumor has it this event comes one day after
a certain person’s birthday. Let’s just say
his name rhymes with “gym” and this birthday
rhymes with “nifty.” So if you want to give
him crap about Depends, and canes, and Viagra,
etc, please feel free!)
