This Friday, March 21, you are in for
a huge treat, because we are featuring
wines from a remarkable winery, one
that occupies a hugely significant place
in California’s winemaking history.
I’m talking about Zaca Mesa, in Los Olivos,
Santa Barbara County.
I’ll get into their past in a bit,
but really matters is how their wines
taste now, right?
Well, we’re here to tell you – they rock!
Here they are:
Zaca Mesa Viognier 2010, $12.97

Zaca Mesa Z Blanc 2011, $15.97

Zaca Mesa Roussanne 2009, $19.97

Zaca Mesa Z Cuvee 2009, $18.97

Amazing stuff. Plus, Matt Mauldin
from the winery will be here to
dazzle and delight you from about
5:30-9 (wines available 4-10).
Cost is just $15, and that includes
hors d’ouevres.
Zaca Mesa got started back in the 70’s
and was where illustrious winemakers
Ken Brown, Adam Tolmach, Jim Clendenen,
and Bob Lindquist earned their stripes.
They were the first Central Coast winery
to have a wine appear in Wine Spectator’s
Top 10, and their wines have been
served in the White House.
Now they will be served right here at
North County Wine Company, and you’re
invited to take part.
We’ll see you Friday!
