It is time once again.
Time to batten down the hatches,
hide the pets and children, put
on your flak jacket, and break out
the survival kit!
Why? Because we once again are
turning control of the bar over
to Craig Beukelman.
It’s been a few months since his first
stint as Guest Bartender. While our
memories of that event are still a little
fuzzy, we’re pretty sure the levels of
hilarity, debauchery, gluttony, and
conviviality came seriously close to
illegality.
(At least that’s what the cops said
when they finally released us.)
Anyway, somehow he talked us into giving
him another chance. Our bad.
But you should still come. After all,
how often do you get to witness a goat
rodeo in a wine bar? Or taste wine while
standing on your head? Or take bets
on how many people can dance on the bar
top at the same time?
(not saying this will all happen,
but it would actually be pretty
tame compared to last time)
So here are the details:
Friday, April 26th
5-10 pm
Cost is $20, including appetizers.
These are the wines:
Cantine Caggiano Greco di Tufo 2011, $21.97
-92 points Wine Spectator, #69 on 2012 “Top 100”
Halter Ranch Cabernet 2010, $26.97
-90 points Tobin Bros.
Gina Gallo Signature Series Cabernet 2008, $29.97
-93 points Wine Enthusiast
Pirouette Red 2009, $46.97
-93 points Wine Advocate
Hidden Ridge Cabernet 2008, $39.97
-92 points Tobin Bros.
Caymus Cabernet 2010, $69.97
-92 points Wine Spectator
Say what you want about Craig, he
sure picked some mighty fine wines!
So come help him drink his wine. We’ll
keep a bail bondsman on standby for you!
