It should be no secret that we have a
particular fondness for Italian wines.
Which is why we recently journeyed to
Pacific Beach to attend a trade tasting
featuring nothing but. 50-60 of them,
in fact.
Of that bunch, we selected several
that impressed us quite a bit. And we
invite you to try them this Friday, 9/6.
The bottles will be open and available
between 5 and 10, the cost will be $15,
and appetizers will be served.
Plus, a representative from the importer
will be on hand to charm and delight you!
Here are the Italian Stallions:
Masi Masianco 2012, $11.97
-88 points Tobin Bros.
Torcalvano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2010, $17.97
-89 points Jim Tobin
Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco 2010, $31.97
-90 points Bill Tobin
Feudo Maccari Nero d’Avola 2010, $13.97
-91 points Robert Parker
Feudo Maccari Saia Nero d’Avola 2010, $24.97
-93 points James Suckling
Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto 2011, $42.97
-92 points Jim Tobin
Masi Costasera Amarone Classico 2009, $47.97
-91 points Bill Tobin
If you’re a serious fan of serious wine,
you want to be here. Seriously.
And I ain’t joking! 🙂
