Now for the wines…
WINE CLUB TASTING NOTES:
Silver Level first. The 2020 Rosario Vera Tempranillo from Spain is the new vintage of a previous Club Selection.
Aged in new French oak barrels for 10 months, this wine shows vibrant aromas of ripe berries, plum and red currant, balanced by the earthy notes of incense, black licorice, tobacco and toasty oak. It is balanced and supple on the finish, with a long, spicy finish.
Next up is the 2018 Mas de Montagnes Cotes du Roussillon, a French blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan.
Aromas of blueberry and blackcurrant are accented by notes of peach and loamy earth. Those same elements follow through on the balanced palate, supported by grippy tannins.
Moving to Gold Level, we have the 2021 Seghesio Old Vine Zinfandel from Sonoma County, 94 points Wine Spectator.
This Zinfandel boasts both finesse and ripe briary fruit, offering wild berry, mocha and black licorice flavors that gather richness and zest toward the lively finish.
Finally, we offer the 2021 Ride Cabernet from Paso Robles.
This delivers aromas and flavors of cocoa, black fruit, cinnamon, and sweet tobacco. The mouthfeel has great density and polish with incredible length. This wine also is a rare mix of boldness and finesse.
We hope you enjoy your wines, and we look forward to continuing to serve you throughout the month!
