WINE OF THE WEEK:
Sorry to keep tantalizing you, but we
just can’t help ourselves!
This week’s WOW is the 2012 Essential
Red from Bogle, and boy, is it essential!
This wine received a 91 point score from
Wine Enthusiast, which named it #3
in their “Top 100 Best Buys” of 2014:
“This sophisticated dry red blend is as
structured and balanced as many high-end
Cabernets. Made from old-vine Zin, with Syrah,
Cabernet and Petite Sirah as well, it has a deep,
exotic aroma of dark fruit plus cedar and
cardamom. The flavor is richly fruity, the
mouthfeel is firmly textured and the finish
lingers nicely. It’s medium bodied and full-flavored.”
This wine would be a deal at $20, quite
frankly.
But we have it at $7.97/bottle.
Which is why we call it a WOW.
