WINE OF THE WEEK:
Last Friday, during our Pinot Noir tasting, one wine in particular got EVERYONE’S attention for its stellar combination of quality and value. That fact, along with its perfect suitability for the Thanksgiving table, have earned it WOW status.
We’re talking about the 2012 Sostener Pinot Noir, 92 points Wine Enthusiast:
“This wine smells delicious, with aromas of cola, pomegranate and yellow cake with frosting. The excellence carries through to the palate, with whipped cream and cherries, teriyaki and maple-glazed pork. There is noticeable grip and lots of zing and energy in the glass.”
Almost all who tried it Friday were shocked that a wine of this quality was just $15.97, and we quickly sold out. But we’ve got more arriving this Wednesday, and it’s available, first come/first served, at that very same price. Come and get it!
WINESDAY FLIGHT:
As special as Friday’s event will be, we obviously can’t forget about the midweek, right? Here, then, is your Winesday flight for Wednesday, 11/19:
Eroica Riesling 2012, $18.97 – 94 points Wine & Spirits
Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco 2010, $31.97 – 90 points Wine Spectator
Powell Mountain Syrah 2010, $27.97 – 90 points Jim Tobin
Any one or all of these would also have pride of place on your Thanksgiving table, or any other time, for that matter. For ten bucks this Wednesday you get a half glass of each. That’s a fantastic deal, so come on in and enjoy!!
HOLIDAY HOURS:
Wow, Thanksgiving is almost here! And we’re happy to serve you in any way possible. Of course, we don’t carry turkeys, hams, potatoes, or yams, but we DO offer a fantastic selection of wines at great prices. Got some great beers and chocolates, too!
We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but to compensate for that we will be OPEN ON MONDAY, 11/24, from 11-9. Let us know how we can help!
