WINES OF THE WEEK:
As is our custom, we will close Thanksgiving Day
to spend time with family. Our hours the rest of
the week will be unchanged.
It’s almost Thanksgiving, and you need wine.
So here are several recommendations from
our professional staff:
Pinot Noir is an incredibly versatile food wine,
and one we often recommend for Thanksgiving
dinner. Consider these:
Sea Smoke Pinot Noir 2014, 69.97
-one of California’s most prestigious Pinots
Ritual Pinot Noir 2014, 15.97
-incredible value from Chile; 93 points Suckling
Nielson Pinot Noir, 14.97
-another great value, from Byron Winery
How about some whites and sparklers? We have several
that will fit the bill for holiday dinners.
Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay 2014, 13.97
-shows great balance and pedigree
Eroica Riesling 2014, 18.97
-perfect food wine; 91 points Wine Advocate
Graham Beck Brut Rose, 13.97
-fantastic bubbly value
Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve Champagne, 59.97
-93 points Wine Spectator; a classic
Finally, what’s Thanksgiving without Beaujolais?
The 2015 from Kermit Lynch is fun, fruity, tasty…
and a great value at 13.97.
We have those and hundreds of other great options.
Come see us before Thursday! 🙂
