WINE OF THE WEEK:
After years of being thought extinct, Carmenere was rediscovered in Chile in 1994. It took years for winemakers there to learn how to manage it properly, but they are getting the hang of it now! Proof lies in a glass of this week’s WOW, the 2015 Root:1 Carmenere.
Deep red in color, it offers soft tannins and lush, rich flavors of plum, blackberry and spice. It is enjoyable on its own or with a wide range of dishes.
Best part? It’s in stock and just 7.97/bottle at NCWC!
