WINE OF THE WEEK:

Wine Spectator magazine releases its Top 100 Wines of the Year list every
November. This list is eagerly awaited and hotly debated, and there’s no denying
it has an impact on wine buyers.

Every year we have several of these wines, and one of them is this week’s WOW.
The 2016 Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel hails from Contra Costa County, and it
also received a great score from the Tasting Panel – 93 points.

The Spectator gave it 91 and ranked it #40 on their Top 100. Here is their note:

“A luxurious sipper! Coffee and strawberry please the nose as they lead to an intriguing mouthfeel. Blackberry jam washes over the soft, round palate dotted with white pepper. Plum notes go creamy on the finish with a dusting of heather. The winery’s oldest, most historic Zinfandel blocks contribute to 94% of this blend.”

Pretty good WOW, right? The wine sells for twenty bucks at the winery, but this
week only (through Sunday 12/2) we have it for you at just 12.97/bottle.
