WINE OF THE WEEK:
We’re just gonna cut to the chase and start
with this review:
“The 2009 Cabernet from atop the Mayacamas
Mtns. displays notes of licorice, camphor, charcoal,
truffles, graphite and cassis. Rich, full-bodied,
deeper, longer and more intense than the 2008,
this stunning vintage is one of the finest Sonoma
County Cabernet Sauvignons ever produced.
Drink it over the next 15+ years.”
That’s from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate,
which awarded this wine 94 points.
We’re talking about the 2009 Hidden Ridge
55 Degree Slope Cabernet.
We brought in the 2006 shortly after we took
over here, knowing that we had discovered
a terrific wine that at that time wasn’t on
anyone else’s radar. We sold a ton of it,
and lots of people were very happy.
Then came the 2007, and eventually the
2008. Also stellar, both of them. People
remained very happy.
Now we have the 2009, which just came in.
We KNOW that people who try it will be,
you guessed it, very, very happy.
This amazing wine is normally $39.97, and is
worth every penny.
BUT… as great and early supporters of the
brand, we were offered a smokin’ deal if
we purchased a bunch of it…
So we did. And we of course are passing
the savings on to you. THIS WEEK ONLY,
ending at 10 pm on Saturday, 1/18, you
may grab hold of this wine for just $29.97/bottle,
a pretty nifty 25% savings.
As is our delightful custom, your WOW will be
available to taste this week!
