WINES OF THE WEEK:

Yes, we are making it plural once again this week.
Not just one WOW, but three, so we can close out
the year with a bang!

Number one is the Segura Viudas Brut Cava, which
got a “Best Buy” designation from Wine & Spirits:

“One of the most reliable Cavas at the price, this offers
cool, crisp cider apple flavors along with leesy notes of
toast, nuts and flowers. It’s gentle and clean, fuel for a
dance party.” Here at NCWC it’s just 6.97.

Next is the Graham Beck Brut Rose, which wowed
everyone at last week’s tasting. It’s lively and crisp,
with raspberry, cherry, and mineral notes. Just 12.97.

Finally, what would New Year’s be without an awesome
red? Like the Groth Oakville Cabernet 2012, 93 points
James Suckling:

“A balanced and beautiful red with black currants and
blackberry character. Full body, round and firm tannins
and a long, long finish.” This is normally 59.97, but for
the last week of the year we have it for just 49.97.

Limited quantities of all of these, so come and get ’em!

HOLIDAY HOURS:

If you need anything from the best wine shop
in San Diego County (that would be us), be sure
to come see us before January 1st.

Why? Because WE ARE TAKING A FEW DAYS OFF
to start the year. The 1st through the 4th, to be exact.

Back in action Tuesday, Jan 5th. And ready to rock!

NEW YEAR’S EVE:

We are ALL about celebrations as a general rule,
so you know we’re gonna be ALL OVER New
Year’s Eve.

Which is this Thursday, 12/31/15. We open at
10 am and will be ready to recommend anything
you need in the way of Champagne, wine, and beer.

(we even have a 1999 Cristal Champagne in stock,
98 points Wine Advocate and 249.97/bottle, if you
want to live large)

And of course we’ll have snacks available and
specials in the bar:

ALL glasses of wine off our regular menu will be
HALF PRICE!

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE…

We will have CAYMUS Napa Cabernet open at
the bar, and glasses of it will also be 50% off.
Just 7.50/half glass, or 15.00 for a full glass
of this delicious wine.
