WINE OF THE WEEK:
Alias wines are made by Alcohol by Volume,
a young & hungry wine company based in a
secret wine cave in northern California. Their
mission is to make really good wines at really
good prices. Like their 2013 Merlot. Check out
what they have to say:
“Don’t be a hater. If “Sideways” told everyone
to drink Zima, would you be following that lead?
Merlot is beautiful if done right, and 2013 was a
great vintage for this beautiful grape.
“There is a lot going on with this wine, and it
changes in the glass. It has big dark cherry,
raspberry, and rhubarb fruit, plus oak, earthy,
and floral elements.”
This is genuinely a beautiful, interesting wine,
and a tremendous value at just $7.97/bottle.
Try a bottle; you’ll be back for a case!
TASTING OPPORTUNITIES:
You know we always have fun things going on
in the wine bar, and this week is no different!
Wednesday, 1/7, we’re offering a $10 flight that
includes a half glass each of three different wines.
Friday’s tasting event can be scrutinized
RIGHT HERE…
And Saturday, 1/10, we present a special
opportunity to taste several fantastic Italian
wines from the Banfi portfolio.
This latter event runs from 4-7 pm Saturday,
and details will be coming soon!
Have a wonderful week. Hope to see you!
