WINE OF THE WEEK:
If you know Burgundy (or Bourgogne, as the French say), then you know the top bottlings are crazy expensive. The original home of both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Burgundy produces wines that sell for hundreds – sometimes even thousands – of dollars per bottle.
That’s why it’s so freakin’ cool to come across a tasty, accessible Bourgogne at a killer price!
Like this week’s WOW. The 2018 Joseph Drouhin Bourgogne Laforet is a delightful Pinot Noir that is loaded with refreshing charm, expressing aromas and flavors of strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, with moderate tannins and smooth elegance.
If you like classic Pinot Noir, you should try this. If you’re curious about red Burgundy, you should try this. If you like great wine values, you should try this. Bottom line: you should try this!
And at just 15.97/bottle, it’s very easy to do so. We’ll have it open at the bar this week, so come check it out!
