A VERY SPECIAL WINESDAY:
We’ll get to the Wines of the Week in a minute.
First, though, we’ve got some amazing events
to tell you about!
Let’s start with this Wednesday, 3/14.
We are going WAY beyond the norm
for your Winesday Flight by offering a
vertical flight of world-famous Pride
Cabernet.
Pride Mountain Vineyards lies atop Spring
Mountain and bisects the Napa-Sonoma
county line. It has been producing world class
wine for decades and has legions of followers
and fanatics.
Due to an extremely fortuitous recent
acquisition, we are able to offer a half
glass each of Pride Cabernet Sauvignon
from 2006, 2007, and 2008. Cost is $25,
and quantities are very limited.
2006 – $59.97, 90 points Wine Advocate:
“Exhibits notes of cassis, tar, crushed rocks,
chocolate, and berry fruit in a full-bodied, fleshy format.”
2007 – $59.97, 92 points Wine Advocate:
“Full-bodied richness with deep, concentrated flavors
(chocolate, creme de cassis, espresso and spicy toast).
This dense, impressively endowed effort should drink
beautifully for a decade.”
2008 – $59.97, 91 points Wine Advocate:
“A beautiful wine graced with expressive red fruit,
flowers, licorice and tobacco. Impressive for its
focus, length and fine overall balance.”
This is a rare opportunity; join us and make
the most of it!
WINES OF THE WEEK:
As promised, we now get to the WOWs.
We don’t know what’s up with all these incredible
Mollydooker deals that keep falling into our
laps, but once again we choose to pass them
on to you.
Unlike last week’s deal, which was closing
out a previous vintage, these 2 are actually
current vintages.
First is the 2012 Mollydooker Carnival of
Love Shiraz, which received 95 points from both
Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator.
“There are layers of rich cherry and blackberry fruits,
creamy vanilla notes, chocolate and even some
pepper and spice. It has great intensity and a
silkiness that lingers over the palate.”
Next is the 2012 Mollydooker Enchanted Path
Shiraz-Cabernet, which received 93 points
from Wine Spectator:
“Dark and focused, expansive and juicy, with
blackberry and black olive notes at the core.
Offers hints of licorice and floral as the finish expands.
Delivers ample depth, poise and expressiveness.”
Normal retail on both these wines is $79.97.
We have them now at $39.97, and yes,
that’s 50% off.
Last week’s WOW sold out very quickly,
due to limited quantities and high demand.
So come in or call us soon if you want
some of these WOWs!
