WINE OF THE WEEK:
Sure had fun last week talking up that
95 point Shiraz we had at 50% off,
but this week we’re getting back to basics…
As in, a great value in California Cabernet!
Your WOW, then, is the 2012 Guenoc
Cabernet Sauvignon from Lake County.
These are the winemaker’s notes:
“It has a fruit forward nose of black cherry and
raspberry jam with undertones of herbes de
provence. The wine is elegant and soft, and the
acidity is very well ballanced. Tannins are soft
and smooth while still providing enough structure
to contend with a hearty dishes, making it wonderful
on its own or with food.”
We call wines like this no-brainers. Just a
solid wine at a great price!
We’ll have it available to taste, and it’s
part of the Winesday lineup this week.
Just $10.97/bottle.
WINESDAY FLIGHT:
Okay, so I butchered the dates in last week’s
emails; I’m gonna try real hard to get ’em
right this time.
This Wednesday, which I hope is March 19,
we’re offering a ten buck flight that gets
you a half glass each of these beauties:
J Vineyards Brut Rose, $24.97
-91 points Wine Spectator
Guenoc Cabernet 2012, $10.97
-described above
Luca Beso de Dante 2010, $29.97
-93 points Wine Advocate
We’ll have these open and available
any time from 4-9 this Winesday.
Come see us!
WINERY EVENT THIS FRIDAY!
Pretty stoked about this coming Friday,
which I imagine might be 3/21.
We’re hosting a special guest from
Zaca Mesa Winery, and pouring a
bunch of their wines, which are
undeniably awesome.
Details coming in a couple days.
