PAINT CLASS THIS SUNDAY!

This coming Sunday, April 19th, is a great opportunity
for you to get in touch with your artistic side!

We are thrilled to offer a Painting Class from 2-4 pm.
This will be taught by Jennifer Doehring of Palette
Passions Studio, and will take place on our patio.

The fee is $25 in advance, $30 at the door, for the class
only. Limited spots available, so call or stop by to secure
your easel. 760-653-9032.

For class participants only, Happy Hour prices will
be in effect at the wine bar. Which means glasses
of wine are half price.

Wine and art, what could be better? Hope to see
you this Sunday from 2-4!

WINE OF THE WEEK:

Napa Valley is bursting with great wineries,
and one of them produced this week’s WOW.

It’s the Alpha Omega II 2010 Chardonnay, and it galloped
into the store on a pony named “Smokin’ Deal.” Trouble is,
that poor pony could carry only so much wine.

When it’s gone, it’s gone.

Here’s the deal. The winery had some extra 2010
Chard it needed to blow through. So this wine, which
we would normally offer at about $28/bottle (it actually
shows on a certain San Diego wine shop’s site at $40),
is now just $13.97 right here at NCWC.

We tried it, and it’s tasting like this:

Delicious aromas of citrus and baked apple pie fill
the nose. This Napa Chard is wonderfully balanced
with more than half of it fermented in stainless steel
and the rest in oak barrels. It has bright, crisp flavors
of citrus, ripe pears and apples followed by a little
acidity and an long apple crisp, creamy finish.

This won’t be around forever, so come get it!

WINESDAY FLIGHT:

This Wednesday is April 15th. Halfway through
the week, halfway through the month.

Which seems like a great excuse to try some
tasty wines!

All you need is a ten dollar bill, or equivalent, and
you will receive a half glass each of these:
