WINE OF THE WEEK:
During the Spring and Summer I ALWAYS
have New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc in my
house. It’s the go-to warm weather white
for me and my wife.
This year our choice is the 2013 vintage
from Matua, which marks the wine’s 40th
anniversary.
Yes, they were New Zealand Sauvignon
Blanc pioneers, and they are still getting
it absolutely right.
Zesty tropical and citrus fruits are complemented
by those famous herbaceous undertones.
Classic Marlborough acidity keeps it fresh
and crisp, finishing with great length of flavor.
In stock this week, available to taste,
and just $9.97/bottle.
BUBBLY FLIGHT THIS WEDNESDAY!
This Wednesday, April 16th, we are
breaking out the bubbles!
Any time from 5-9 pm, $15 gets you
snacks plus one flute each of these:
Graham Beck Brut, $12.97
-90 points Decanter: “This is classic stuff with
bready aromas, a fine mousse and distinctly savory
flavor. If you are looking for an inexpensive
alternative to big-name Champagne, this is it.”
Gruet Brut Rose, $16.97
-88 points Wine Spectator: “Delicate and lively,
with floral cherry and vanilla aromas and nicely
layered, crisp citrus, cinnamon and cream flavors.”
Veuve Clicquot Champagne, $49.97
-90 points Wine Spectator: “Well-knit and balanced,
with vibrant acidity framing hints of blackberry,
white cherry, biscuit, honey and candied lemon zest.
Offers a lightly smoky finish.”
We think this will be pretty awesome.
Come enjoy these three delicious sparklers!

a few of his own, which he cheekily
calls “The Better Half.”
