WINE OF THE WEEK:
Our WOW is the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc from
Lake County called “The Girls in the Vineyard.”
It’s $13.97, and it’s delicious. The winemaker does
a much better job describing it than I ever could,
so here you go:
“What the girls smell like:
Summer – fresh, ripe fruit; hints of cut grass…
“What the girls feel like:
That same feeling of riding your bike to a river and dipping
your legs over a dock into the circling eddies below – even if
you are wearing your Sunday best. It feels refreshing and alive.
“What the girls taste like:
Pear and honeysuckle weave through citrus notes and end
with a tropical flourish. With each sip you feel the sun
peeking out behind you to warm your shoulders.”
Sounds good to me. And it is. Come try it!
