WINE OF THE WEEK:
So you want another WOW, do you? Well how about this!
For a few years now we’ve been carrying a number of wines from Bedrock, a kick-ass
winery based in Sonoma that has been crushing it in recent years.
One of their wines that has always been popular here is the California Old Vine Zin.
We just brought in the new vintage, 2017, and let me tell you, it rocks! Here’s the
93 point note from Wine Spectator:
“Old-school meets new in this Zinfandel, with just enough polish and plumpness to match the briary rusticity. Offers expressive black cherry, smoky anise and white pepper flavors. Drink now through 2024.”
We noticed this beauty offered by another North County wine shop that shall go
nameless, and they have it at $25, which is about typical for this wine.
But you know us! (or at least you should know us by now!) “Best Price in Town”
has long been our mission, and we have this killer Zin for just 17.97.
This wine is tailor-made for good sippin’ and good times. Come get it!
WEDNESDAY WINE BAR FLIGHT!
Now let’s devise a clever way of letting you taste that WOW we just mentioned.
How about a Winesday flight to celebrate the first of May this Wednesday?
Just $10 for a half glass each of these California wines:
Speckle Rock Falanghina 2017. Super, super tasty; has to be tasted to be believed!
Chalone Estate Pinot Noir 2016. Layered and complex.
Bedrock Old Vine Zinfandel 2017. 93 points Wine Spectator, described above.
Get in here this Wednesday, and let’s have some fun!
WEEKEND WINERY FLIGHT:
One of my favorite Sonoma wineries is Gundlach Bundshu of Sonoma Valley, and we’re going to show you why this weekend!
It’s $15 to savor a half glass each of their Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet. More details coming soon. For now, just mark it down! 🙂
