WINE OF THE WEEK:
New week, new WOW! The 2013 Altamana
Malbec hails not from Argentina, but Chile’s
Maule Valley. 91 points Wine Spectator:
“Deeply colored and well-oaked, with an aroma of
dark fruit and flavors of kirsch, plum and raspberry
tart. Offers intense Asian spice and tar notes midpalate,
finishing with concentrated dark chocolate and cream
accents, offset by a hint of citrus peel. Drink now through 2020.”
Best price we found online was $18.34 from some
outfit in Connecticut.
But we can do a little better than that. How about
$14.97 right here at NCWC.
