one of Italy’s classic wines – Barbaresco.

From the Piedmont region in the northwest,
Barbaresco is 100% Nebbiolo. This one is
the 2013 from Cantine Sanmatteo.

The wine offers aromas and flavors of cherry,
cranberry, and raspberry, plus notes of vanilla,
loamy earth, red flowers, and stony minerality.
It’s well balanced and integrated, with tannins
that are already resolving smoothly.

It will pair wonderfully with duck,grilled or braised beef,
truffled dishes, mushroom risotto, and milder cheeses.

Our regular price was 27.97/bottle. But our distributor
lost this producer from their portfolio, so they’re
closing out the wine.
