WINE OF THE WEEK:
Okay, so this is excellent. But only if you like crisp, delicious whites. If you don’t,
well, maybe this one will change your mind.
It’s the 2016 Tangent Albarino from Edna Valley. Albarino is a Spanish grape, but
they guys do a fantastic job with it. In fact, they grow more Albarino than anyone else
in California.
The wine shows off supple aromas of honeydew melon and bubblegum, set against
a crushed rock minerality. It has some grip and texture on the palate, with flavors
of guava and passion fruit plus a hint of sea salt. It’s super refreshing and works both
as an aperitif and with a variety of seafood and lighter dishes.
This beauty is here and ready for your enjoyment. 13.97/bottle every day. Cheers!
WEDNESDAY WINE FLIGHT!
The best possible way to spend your Wednesday afternoon or evening is right
here at the best wine bar around. We always have a wide variety of tasting and
by-the-glass options, and we also have a killer Winesday flight.
This week we’re asking $10 in exchange for a half glass each of these:
CVNE Rioja Blanca Monopole 2017.
Kermit Lynch Cotes-du-Rhone 2016.
Luke Cabernet Sauvignon 2016.
3 wines, 3 different countries. All amazingly good. Come and enjoy!
COMING ATTRACTIONS!
We have a truly outstanding Wine Flight coming up this weekend, which we will
tell you about in a couple days.
And in June we have all kinds of fun in the works, including a fantastic distributor
tasting event, an Amateur Sommelier contest, and another Wine Dinner with
chef Erin Seely!
Stay tuned for more details on all this good stuff! 🙂
