WINE OF THE WEEK:
Obviously whites, Roses, and Sparkling wines are
particularly awesome during these warm months.
But sometimes we just want a red, right?
Enter your next WOW… the 2014 House Red,
which, in keeping with our upcoming July 4th
Weekend, proudly boasts a “Made In USA”
message on the back label.
This fun, juicy quaffer is absolutely perfect with
a back yard summer cookout, and the inevitable
burgers, brats, ribs, etc.
It’s a blend of 25% syrah, 30% merlot, 24% cab, 11% grenache,
and various mixed reds. Tangy cherry, redcurrant, and cranberry pop
on the nose, plus some subtle oak notes. On the palate you’ll
get cherry juice, with redcurrant and red plum accents, subtle
earth, touches of oak spice and vanilla, and moderate tannins.
This seriously is tailor-made for summer barbecues.
It’s just 9.97/bottle here at NCWC.
GUESS WHAT JULY MEANS?
July is a very important month, one that is bookended
by two remarkable events.
The first of course is the American Declaration of
Independence. The second is the Tobin Brothers
taking over North County Wine Company and
turning it into the best wine shop/wine bar around!
As for the first… since the 4th falls on Monday,
there will be no change to our hours. Friday
and Saturday 11-10, Sunday 12-7. We will be
here and ready to help you with all your wine
and beer needs!
As for the latter… our 6th Anniversary Celebratory
Extravaganza will occur on Friday and Saturday,
July 29 and 30. This will involve incredible tasting
specials, raffle prizes, food, and fabulous fun!
(speaking of food, we are looking for guest chefs
to help us feed the multitudes that weekend.
call us at 760-653-9032 or stop by if you’re interested)
More details on the Anniversary Party will be
forthcoming. Mark your calendars now!
