WINE OF THE WEEK:
Russian River Valley is a Sonoma County appellation that produces a lot of incredible wine. Perhaps its most famous varietal is Pinot Noir, which thrives in many of RRV’s cool climate vineyards.
I can think of a great many RRV Pinots that will set you back a pretty penny, but not this week’s WOW!
The 2019 Raeburn Pinot Noir offers stunning flavors of wild blueberry, raspberry and blackberry with undertones of hazelnut, baking spice and vanilla. This flavor-packed wine stays smooth all the way through the long, graceful finish.
Regular price on this delicious red is 19.97. But this week only, through Sunday, you get it for 14.97/bottle. Enjoy!
WINE DINNER NEXT WEEK:
Our next WINE DINNER is on Thursday, July 22. We again will be working with Chef Erin as she prepares a fantastic 5 course dinner, paired with Italian wines.
CLICK HERE to check out the menu and sign up. Keep in mind, seats are limited and tend to go fast.
Hope to see you next Thursday!
FLIGHTY FLIGHTS!
We love talking about wine in here, and that includes answering questions.
Which is good, because we get a lot of them! One question that pops up a lot has to do with the 3 different Pinot Noirs we carry from Belle Glos: “Which one is best?”
Well, this Friday & Saturday you can decide for yourself!
Just $15 this weekend to enjoy a half glass each of these dark, juicy, flavorful wines:
Belle Glos Pinot Noir Las Alturas 2019, from Santa Lucia Highlands.
Belle Glos Pinot Noir Clark & Telephone 2019, from Santa Maria Valley.
Belle Glos Pinot Noir Dairyman 2019, from Russian River Valley.
So now you’ll know what YOUR favorite is! We plan on keeping track, to see which is the overall winner. Should be fun!
As for this midweek, we – as we often do – have a fun 10 buck flight going. Here it is:
Pazo Cilleiro Albarino 2019. 91 points Vinous.
Dry Creek Vineyard Zinfandel 2016. 90 points Wine Spectator.
Trinitas Petite Sirah 2015. 93 points Wine Enthusiast.
A half glass each of three different 90+ point wines, for ten bucks. Not bad!!
Come enjoy some wine with us. Cheers!
