WINE OF THE WEEK:
This WOW will huff, and puff, and knock
your socks off!
Which is better than blowing your house
down, right?
We’re talking about the 2012 “Big Bad
Wolf” Zinfandel from Grey Wolf Cellars
of Paso Robles.
Composed of 90% Zin and 10% Petite
Sirah, this growling beast offers aromas
of ripe strawberries, dark chocolate, blackberry,
licorice and vanilla. Complex and bold flavors
include black fig, rhubarb and blackberries,
balanced by grippy tannins. This will be
delicious with any food big on flavor.
Normally $22.97, this fantastic celebration/
party/barbecue wine is just $19.97 for
this first week of July, ending on Saturday,
7/5.
Come and get it!
ALL AMERICAN WINESDAY FLIGHT:
As we head into our Independence Day celebrations,
it makes perfect sense to focus on American wines.
Including one that kicked some serious French
ass back in 1976!
So that’s what we’re doing this Wednesday,
July 2, with an All American Flight that includes
the white and the red. So I guess you’ll just
have to wear something blue!
It’s just $10 for a half glass each of these:
Chateau Montelena Chardonnay 2011, $39.97
-“flavors meld beautifully on the resonant finish”
R by Jeff Runquist Petit Verdot 2011, $22.97
-juicy and ripe, with black cherry, blackberry, and vanilla
Grey Wolf Cellars Big Bad Wolf 2012, $19.97
-described above
Get over here this Wednesday – let’s start
the July 4th party early!!
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
We know you’ll be heading out to celebrate
and watch fireworks this Friday, July 4th,
so we will be closing early.
Friday hours will be 10 am – 6 pm (or so),
and the bar will be open the whole time.
So swing by to grab any supplies you
might need, and/or have a glass or two
to kick off the party.
And have a fantastic Fourth! 🙂
