WINE OF THE WEEK:
Who doesn’t want a frickin’ delicious wine for ten bucks?! I mean, excuse my
frickin’ language, but aren’t “great wines at great prices” what we’re all frickin’
hoping for?
Okay, I got a little excited there, but I’m calmer now. This week’s WOW – which
stands for “wine of the week,” if you’re new to this newsletter – definitely qualifies
as a super tasty wine at a terrific price.
It’s the 2016 Shannon Ridge Petite Sirah from Lake County, and it’s a mouthful.
It exudes blackberry, blueberry and fresh plums with hints of dried herbs and
black pepper. Aging in French and American oak lend additional notes of cedar,
spices, and toasty vanilla.
This beauty will go quite nicely with barbq, burgers, pizza, and steak. Or just
enjoy it on its own as a flavorful cocktail wine.
Here at NCWC it’s just 9.97/bottle. At a popular online site it’s several bucks
higher, but hey, that’s how we roll! Come grab a bottle or two, or three, or…
MIDWEEK FLIGHT:
How about a cool Winesday Flight this Wednesday, August 1st? Ten bucks
gets you a half glass each of these:

Shannon Ridge Petite Sirah 2016, 9.97. Described above.
This killer flight is a great deal, and available any time from 5-9 this Wednesday.
Cheers!
