WINE OF THE WEEK:

It is definitely summertime now! Temperatures are rising,
and we want to cool down.

A cold beer will certainly help with that, and we’ve got
plenty of fine ones.

But if you’re craving wine, a cool, crisp Rose (“ro-zay”)
can be just the ticket.

For example, this week’s WOW: The 2016 Gerard
Bertrand Cote des Roses from the Languedoc region
in southern France.

Aromas of summer fruits waft from the glass, along with
delightful floral notes and a hint of grapefruit. It shows
wonderful length and balance, and the overall impression
is of cool freshness.
